Aaron Glenn Informed He Is Out of Running for Colts Job

In this story:
Detroit Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn is likely going to return in 2023.
The Indianapolis Colts have reportedly targeted their main candidate, according to multiple reports.
According to the NFL Network, "The belief is Eagles offensive coordinator Shane Steichen is considered a strong candidate in Indy, as well. (Jim) Irsay has whittled the candidate list to a select few, with Rams defensive coordinator Raheem Morris, Packers special teams coach Rich Bisaccia and interim coach Jeff Saturday also among those still alive. Sources say Saturday's candidacy is not as strong as it once was."

The remaining candidates have reportedly now been informed the Colts are moving in a different direction and work will begin to sign Steichen to a contract agreement.
Glenn was part of the head coach interview cycle for the second consecutive season, and had multiple interviews with the Colts.
Last season, Detroit's second-year defensive coordinator also interviewed for openings in New Orleans and Denver.
Even though the Lions' defense was ranked in the lower third of the NFL again in 2022, it was noticed by front office personnel how Detroit's defense stepped up and executed at a higher level over the final 10 games of the season.
