The Detroit Lions have reportedly sent scouts to Michigan Stadium this afternoon to catch the Michigan Wolverines take on the Rutgers Scarlet Knights.

Also, several NFL scouts, including representatives from the Lions, were spotted at the Florida State Seminoles game on the road against the Clemson Tigers.

The Wolverines, who have started the season undefeated and are considered College Football Playoff contenders, feature senior Kris Jenkins, a 6-foot-3, 305-pound defensive lineman who could soar up draft boards following the conclusion of the season.

According to Wolverine Digest, "Now that Mazi Smith is gone, Jenkins will more than likely see more double teams but should be dominant against the run. Players like Mason Graham, Rayshaun Benny, and Kenneth Grant will be freed up thanks to Jenkins. It's still way too early, but Jenkins has the potential to soar up draft boards as the season moves on."

Florida State features former Michigan State wideout Keon Coleman, who has taken the college football world by storm through the first month of the season.

After two seasons in East Lansing, the 20-year-old wideout has recorded four receiving touchdowns in 2023, including a touchdown grab against Clemson.

Detroit's offense could be in the market in next year's draft for another X receiver, as Marvin Jones could be playing his final season in Motown.

Coleman's obvious strength and size make him a one-on-one matchup nightmare against opposing defensive backs.

Without Jameson Williams, the Lions have relied on veteran Josh Reynolds, who had a stellar performance last week against the Seahawks, in a 37-31 loss at Ford Field.
