Carolina Panthers 53-Man Roster Projection After Hall of Fame Game

In this story:
The Hall of Fame Game may not have featured any roster locks, but the Carolina Panthers got a good look at some of the players who will make up the final few spots. In that sense, it was really good to see players who will make up those final few spots.
Things change frequently, but as of now, we have an idea of what the final 53-man roster will look like. We will continue to provide a look at where things stand every week until the final cuts are made before Week 1.
Roster projections for Carolina Panthers
Here's the 53-man roster projection as of now:
Offense

- QB
- Bryce Young
- Kenny Pickett
- Haynes King
- RB
- Chuba Hubbard
- Jonathon Brooks
- Trevor Etienne
- WR
- Tetairoa McMillan
- Jalen Coker
- Xavier Legette
- Jimmy Horn Jr.
- John Metchie
- Ja'Seem Reed
- Brycen Tremayne
- TE
- Tommy Tremble
- Mitchell Evans
- Ja'Tavion Sanders
- OT
- Monroe Freeling
- Rasheed Walker
- Stone Forsythe
- Albert Reese IV
- IOL
- Sam Hecht
- Luke Fortner
- Robert Hunt
- Damien Lewis
- Chandler Zavala
- Brady Christensen
As good as AJ Dillon was in the Hall of Fame Game, he's RB4 as of now since Trevor Etienne plays special teams, and that matters a lot with limited roster spots. David Moore is a favorite of the coaching staff, but Jimmy Horn, Ja'Seem Reed, and John Metchie all earned a boost in their chances.
Chandler Zavala had a really good Hall of Fame Game, and for now, the Panthers have no reason to cut any of the three tight ends. Haynes King earned a spot on the roster for now, though he is injured.
Defense

- IDL
- Derrick Brown
- Bobby Brown III
- Elijah Garcia
- Lee Hunter
- Cam Jackson
- EDGE
- Pat Jones
- Princely Umanmielen
- Jaelan Phillips
- Cam Gill
- ILB
- Devin Lloyd
- Trevin Wallace
- Claudin Cherilus
- Isaiah Simmons
- Jackson Kuwatch

- Mike Jackson
- Will Lee III
- Chau Smith-Wade
- Corey Thornton
- Akayleb Evans
- S
- Tre'von Moehrig
- Zakee Wheatley
- Nick Scott
- Lathan Ransom
Cam Gill was good in the Hall of Fame Game, boosting his chances of sneaking onto the roster. The same is true of Elijah Garcia, who is now in line for more snaps. Lathan Ransom and Zakee Wheatley weren't really in danger, but they cannot be cut now after great performances in the HOF Game.
Jackson Kuwatch remains on the edge, but for now, he's still on because of his contributions on special teams.
Special Teams
On special teams, JJ Jansen, Sam Martin, and Ryan Fitzgerald will take up the long snapper, punter, and kicker spots. There's no competition there.
