With the 2024 NFL Draft just around the corner, the Las Vegas Raiders have many questions when it comes to their No. 13 pick.

In Pro Football Focus' most recent mock draft, PFF NFL contributor Arjun Menon has the Raiders investing their first-round selection on former Alabama cornerback Terrion Arnold.

"The Raiders are another wild-card team to trade up for a quarterback, but here they take Terrion Arnold to bolster the backend of their defense," Menon said. "Las Vegas is +175 to take a cornerback on DraftKings, second only to the team taking an offensive lineman with its first pick."

Arnold is regarded by many to be the best cornerback in the draft. NFL analyst Lance Zierlein compared Arnold to Pro Bowler Marshon Lattimore.

"Twitchy man-cover corner with outstanding athletic ability and the skill set to bring in ball production at the professional level," Zierlein wrote of Arnold. "The athletic traits and nose for the ball create quality upside for him to be positioned as a CB1 within a couple of years."

Arnold was a first-team All-America and All-SEC selection for the Crimson Tide last season. He finished fifth in the nation in interceptions and allowed for a passer rating of 50.7 while starting in all 14 games for Alabama.

Arnold received an 88.4 overall grade from PFF. In 2022, Arnold was named Freshman All-SEC, having played in 11 games, making seven starts.

Some recent mock drafts have had the Raiders drafting a quarterback with their first pick. Aidan O'Connell finished last season as the starter, but the Raiders recently signed Gardner Minshew to compete with O'Connell for the starting role. Washington quarterback Michael Penix Jr. visited the Raiders on Wednesday -- though there are concerns about the Heisman Trophy finalist's extensive injury history.

Drafting Arnold in with their first pick would potentially give the Raiders the big piece on defense that some analysts like former NFL offensive guard Brian Baldinger think is necessary for Las Vegas to "look a lot more competitive."

The NFL Draft will be held in Detroit, Mich., on April 25-27, 2024. The Las Vegas Raiders currently have the No. 13 overall pick.
