Mark Davis, Raiders Strike Historic Agreement Ahead of 2026 Season

The Las Vegas Raiders will soon make a statement on and off the field, as owner Mark Davis has made one of the most significant decisions in franchise history.

The Las Vegas Raiders are one of the most storied franchises in National Football League history. The Raiders have long been known for their impact off the field just as much as for their successful history on it. Monday morning, Mark Davis and the Raiders furthered that legacy.

While the 2026 Raiders continue their preparations on the field during Monday's practice, Davis announced that he and several others in the Raiders' ownership group will make one of the most significant decisions in franchise history.

Monumental Move From Davis

Monday morning, Davis and others announced a $25 million donation towards the creation of Nevada's first standalone children's hospital. It is the largest philanthropic commitment the Raiders have made in franchise history, speaking volumes about the project's importance.

“The Las Vegas Raiders are making our largest philanthropic commitment in franchise history because we are dedicated to building a healthier future for kids in Nevada. We want this gift to remind children and families that they have our team backing them and that the support of the entire Raider Nation is in their corner," Davis said.

Leaving a Legacy

The Raiders have already built a legacy through decades of hard work by front office members, players, and everyone in between. The Raiders' $25 million gift will help change the landscape of healthcare in the state of Nevada.

Currently, child-specific healthcare is not available, and the nearest options require long-distance travel, often out of state. Raiders owners Davis, Egon Durban, and Michael Meldman each donated $5 million. The Raiders added another $10 million.

The Raiders continue to connect with the community they relocated to after decades in California. The community continues to welcome them with open arms. This move is yet another move by Davis and the Raiders to forever connect with the city of Las Vegas.

Intermountain Health's region president, Mitch Cloward, noted that "The Raiders are committed to excellence, and this gift is a generational investment that will keep families closer, strengthen our community, and give every kid every chance to thrive."

According to the Raiders, "The hospital, located at the UNLV Harry Reid Research and Technology Park, will be the first of its kind in Nevada, anchoring a new future for kids and families across the state and delivering comprehensive, high-acuity pediatric care."

"The 828,000-square-foot standalone children’s hospital will be located on a 33-acre campus and feature 180 patient beds, with room to grow. It will provide advanced emergency services designed specifically for children and a full-spectrum outpatient center alongside inpatient and specialty care."
