In this story:

The Seattle Seahawks' wide receiver room is taking a hit after Jake Bobo's injury during the team's joint practice with the Tennessee Titans.

Bobo's injury is considered pretty serious, which could compromise his availability on the field this season. The Seahawks could rely on players already on the roster to fill this void, but they could also scour the free agent market to find his replacement.

Here's a look at three players the Seahawks could sign to replace Bobo.

Josh Reynolds

Reynolds is entering his tenth season in the NFL, but he's still looking for a new home after playing with the New York Jets for five games last season.

Reynolds recently worked out for the Houston Texans, who were looking to replace Jayden Higgins, who tore his ACL, but the team opted to go in a different direction. Reynolds matches Bobo's size as a bigger receiver and has the experience of playing in multiple schemes over the years, so he should be able to pick up the playbook rather quickly.

Reynolds would be an efficient run blocker and see a lot of action on special teams, which makes him probably the best option moving forward.

DeAndre Hopkins

Hopkins is a natural on a list like this. His resume speaks for itself: he has been one of the league's best since arriving in Houston in 2013. He has made the Pro Bowl five times and the All-Pro team five times, with three of those on the first team. He led the league in touchdowns in 2017, but he has struggled in recent years to find stability.

While he caught for over 1,000 yards in 2023, the last two seasons have not been too kind to him. He was speaking with the New England Patriots earlier in the offseason, but a deal wasn't struck. He's also looking at the idea of coaching as an assistant with Georgia Tech's football program, but he would be open to playing for another team, especially if they have a chance to win the Super Bowl, like the Seahawks.

DeAndre Carter

Bobo was going to be primarily used on special teams if he were able to play this season. Replacing him with a special teams specialist could be the route to go in.

DeAndre Carter might be one of the top special teams players on the open market at the moment. Carter, 33, has been in the league since he was an undrafted free agent back in 2015. He has bounced around the NFL playing for 10 different franchises, but he could make it an 11th with the Seahawks if they were willing to take a chance on him.

Carter could challenge for being the return specialist, but with Jadarian Price and Rashid Shaheed already on the roster, he isn't likely to fulfill that role on special teams.
