ESPN Predicts Steelers, Cowboys Trade

One inside believes the Pittsburgh Steelers could make a move with the Dallas Cowboys.

PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers have options with their first-round pick and as the NFL Draft gets closer, it appears more and more experts expect them to move backward from 20.

ESPN's Bill Barnwell created a prediction where the Steelers and Dallas Cowboys make a trade during draft night, moving Pittsburgh back from pick No. 20 to No. 24, while also receving picks 87 (third-round) and 174 (fifth-round). They give up pick 20 and 119 (fourth-round).

"The Steelers could stand to add another offensive lineman, but they would probably be looking toward tackle as opposed to guard. This wasn't a deep team a year ago, and the days when they had homegrown talent waiting to burst through the ranks up and down the roster appear to be in the past. I'd like to see Pittsburgh add more depth across the board with this draft, and Mike Tomlin's team would have five top-100 picks if it did this deal," Barnwell writes.

The Steelers have been linked to rumored trades with the Buffalo Bills and Arizona Cardinals, with everyone seemingly thinking Pittsburgh is going to move back, they now have three options that could make sense.

Pittsburgh could target either an offensive tackle or center with the 24th pick, and should have options at both by the time their selection comes around. Moving back from 20 makes sense if their options are all on the table, and only dropping four spots could be a move worth thinking about for the Steelers.
