The Houston Texans have the best wide receiver trio in the NFL, says Tyler Greenawalt of sportingnews.com. The early-April trade for Stefon Diggs elevated Houston's talent at the position. The trio, of course, consists of Diggs, Nico Collins and Tank Dell.

Greenawalt provided a breakdown of how he discovered the NFL's best wide receiver trio.

"I looked at the first three players listed on all 32 teams' depth charts and ranked the trio using three data points to determine a composite rank that should definitively explain which teams have the best receiver trios," Greenawalt explained. I used: The combined 2023 receiving yards production. The average Approximate Value, per Pro Football Reference, of the three players. The average AV rank for the three — so the teams with more highly-ranked players earned a better score."

Diggs caught 107 passes for 1,183 yards and eight touchdowns last season. Through four seasons in Buffalo, he compiled 445 catches for 5,372 yards and 37 touchdowns. Prior, he spent five seasons with the Vikings, logging 365 catches for 4,623 yards and 30 touchdowns.

As for Collins, he was the leading receiver for C.J. Stroud last season. He finished with 80 catches for 1,297 yards and eight touchdowns in 15 games. He flourished alongside Dell, who had 47 catches for 709 yards and seven touchdowns.

Houston's offense should be explosive given the trio at wide receiver, the talent of Stroud and the addition of ex-Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon.
