NASHVILLE- A new mock draft from the folks at 33rdTeam has an interesting scenario working for the Tennessee Titans in the upcoming NFL Draft.

According to this mock scenario, the Titans trade with Detroit to move from No.11 to No.6, where they select Ohio State quarterback CJ Stroud as their "quarterback of the future."

"Mike Vrabel trades up and selects the Tennessee Titans’ quarterback of the future from his alma mater. Pocket passer C.J. Stroud (scouting report) is a potential long-term solution at quarterback for the Titans."

The trade, if it were to play out exactly as this mock suggests, would be a good one for the Titans if Stroud is, in fact, their man.

Tennessee would send Detroit their first-round pick, No.11 overall, and their second-round pick, No.41 overall, in exchange for the Lions first-round pick, No.6 overall.

While it's true that the Titans need draft picks, and giving up a second in this move would be challenging, it's not nearly as costly a proposition as other moves could be for this draft and in the future.

The question is, is Stroud the guy for the Titans?

There is one other minor detail that would be necessary for Stround to fall to the Titans at No.6 in the event of a trade.

That detail would mean that, as in this draft, the Colts would take Alabama's Bryce Young at No.1, and the Texans would then take Kentucky's Will Levis or any other quarterback besides Stroud at No.2 overall.

The odds of this playing out as written are not improbable, but it seems a longshot that before any quarterback will be taken before  Young and Stroud.

Of course, we all know that draft day does not always go as scripted by the media and "draft experts."

Could Levis or Florida's Anthony Richardson go before Young or Stroud?

They could, and while it might surprise some, again, one team will always value things differently than the others.

Another possible scenario and I'll throw this out, is that Young could slide to the Titans at No.6 in this trade projection.

How could Young possibly fall?

According to ESPN draft "expert" Todd McShay, his height is 5'10 1/2," which is below what most NFL clubs want in their quarterbacks.

“I love Bryce Young, I really do. “I know he’s 195 pounds; a really good friend of mine who’s a scout had him at 5’10½”. But I met with him, I’ve talked to him. He’s special," McShay said. "He’s different. He has the poise, the presence in the pocket, the playmaking, everything else you want. I absolutely love Bryce Young. I would bet on him.”

“If I’m a GM, I’m scared to death of drafting him.” said McShay.

While I personally don't see his height impacting him enough to stop the Colts or Texans from selecting him (remember Jim Irsay's comment), anything is possible, so don't give up hope, Titans fans; it could happen.

There you have it, still clear as mud, but there are scenarios still alive that could see the Titans land one of the top two projected quarterbacks come April.

Now, we have to wait for the draft to get here to see how it all plays out.
