NASHVILLE - If there were any doubts as to who would be the starting center for the Tennessee Titans in 2023, head coach Mike Vrabel removed any doubts when he joined former Titans Taylor Lewan and Will Compton on an episode of their 'Bussin With The Boys,' podcast that was released on Tuesday morning.

During their back and forth, Vrabel touched on multiple subjects, including that of Aaron Brewer.

Vrabel shared his thoughts on Brewer after the undrafted rookie stepped into the starting lineup on the road in Green Bay and delivered a solid performance replacing the injured Ben Jones.

"Last year, we went through a situation. where on a short week, going to Green Bay, on the road, Brew had to play center," said Vrabel. "Four days, and I saw him over the course of four days prepare, communicate, (and) get those guys ready to go, all the way up until we left the hotel from Green Bay."

"You know, those short weeks you're cramming in everything you can," continued Vrabel. "And, it was like, that's exactly what we're looking for. You're gonna be different from Ben (Jones). You're gonna lead differently than Ben. But we're gonna need you to lead, like that's what the center has to do in the offensive line."

Brewer worked with the projected first-team offensive line throughout the offseason program, despite some believing he is too small (6-foot-1, 275 pounds) to handle the rigors of the position.

Now, considering Vrabel's comments, it seems that if anyone doubted the Titans commitment to having Brewer step into the starting center role, this should remove any doubt people might have had as to Brewer being the man to replace Jones and lead this offensive line.
