Tennessee Titans Offensive Player Grades & Takeaways From Week 5 Loss to Indianapolis Colts

The Tennessee Titans offense showed flashes of life throughout the loss to the Indianapolis Colts, but most of those came in the passing game with DeAndre Hopkins and Ryan Tannehill making a consistent connection.

You can see that in the offensive player grades from Week 5 per Pro Football Focus. Let's dive into the top five overall grades and some of the individual grades that stood out.

Top Five Overall Grades

WR DeAndre Hopkins - 84.6 Overall Grade

TE Trevon Wesco - 77.2 Overall Grade

QB Ryan Tannehill - 75.7 Overall Grade

C Aaron Brewer - 73.2 Overall Grade

TE Josh Whyle - 69.9 Overall Grade*

RG Daniel Brunskill - 69.9 Overall Grade*

Hopkins and Tannehill being in the top five here is no surprise if you watched the game. Their chemistry and ability to take advantage of a poor Colts' secondary was obvious. Hopkins finished with eight catches for 140 yards.

Another week with multiple tight ends in the top five. Neither were terrific in run blocking, but both were able to contribute in the passing game in multiple ways. The tight ends were heavily involved in the pass protection plan.

Standout Grades

LG Peter Skoronski - 49.8 Run Blocking Grade

Skoronski returned for his first game after a Week 2 appendectomy and seemed to struggle. Skoronski was the lowest-graded offensive Titan and was the lowest-graded offensive lineman in pass protection and run blocking. Skoronski played much better in Week 1 before his surgery, so it is fair to expect better days from the rookie.

C Aaron Brewer - 83.0 Run Blocking Grade

Brewer graded poorly in pass protection again, but was by far the highest-graded offensive lineman in the run game. Brewer's size is his biggest weakness and biggest strength, as he is quick enough to make his blocks going forward, but not strong enough to hold when he's going backwards.
