Top Offensive Line Prospect Would “Love To Play” in Titans’ Physical Offense

In this story:
NASHVILLE — The NFL Combine is in full swing and every day new players step to the podium to answer questions from the media. One answer given by former Florida offensive lineman O’Cyrus Torrence had to catch the attention of the Tennessee Titans because the Titans have clearly caught the attention of Torrence.
Torrence was asked about playing within the Titans offense and responded, “That’ll be great. I love running the ball. I love just being physical.”

Torrence would certainly help the Titans accomplish those two things. At 6’5” and 345 pounds Torrence has a chance to be a big, physical mauler at guard the Titans haven’t had since they released Rodger Saffold prior to the 2022 season. Torrence finished with a dominant run block grade of 89.9 in 2022, per Pro Football Focus. While there is some concern about how he would fit scheme-wise, Torrence fits the mentality the Titans need.
Not only that, but Torrence is a big fan of Derrick Henry, Titans’ star running back, and it appears he would also be very interested in blocking for Henry.
“Him being the running back he is, one of my favorite running backs in the league so, being able to block for him and take him and create holes for him and help him get to his goals of continuing to prove he is one of the best in the league would be great. I’d love to do it,” Torrence said.
Torrence is expected to be a highly drafted player whether in the first round or early in the second. The Titans would certainly have to get lucky for Torrence to be there at pick 41 in the second round. If Torrence is on the board though, the Titans would have to strongly consider the mauling guard. Sounds like Torrence would be pretty excited to get the call as well.
