Vikings Day 3 NFL draft live blog: Updates, picks, analysis in rounds 4-7

In this story:
The final day of the 2025 NFL draft is underway in Green Bay. This one is a long grind of a day that encompasses the final four rounds, totaling 154 selections.
The Vikings currently have just two picks early in the fifth round: Nos. 139 and 142. It'll be interesting to see if they stay put and make both picks in those spots before turning their focus to college free agency, or if they trade down and wind up with more than two selections today.
So far, Minnesota's draft class consists of Ohio State guard Donovan Jackson at No. 24 and Maryland WR Tai Felton at No. 102. With two offensive players to start the draft, you can bet that defensive coordinator Brian Flores is advocating for at least one addition on his side of the ball today. These are some of the players the Vikings could potentially target at positions of need.
Follow along below for live Vikings-centric updates throughout the day. We won't be listing all of the picks, so if you want to track each one, this is a good place to do it.
Vikings Day 3 draft updates
3:55 p.m. — The Vikings pick Penn State LB Kobe King at 201 and Pitt TE Gavin Bartholomew at 202. Barring a trade, that's it for them until undrafted free agency after the seventh round concludes in a couple hours.
3:22 p.m. — Running backs Devin Neal and Kalel Mullings are off the board. It'll be very interesting to see which two positions the Vikings these address with these upcoming selections.
2:55 p.m. — First two picks of the sixth rounds are CBs Dorian Strong and Bilhal Kone, both of whom had met with the Vikings in the pre-draft process. 20 picks left until Minnesota's back-to-back selections.
2:29 p.m. — TRADE: The Vikings sent the No. 172 overall pick in the fifth round to the Los Angeles Rams. They're receiving the Nos. 201 and 202 picks in the sixth round from the Rams. So they get two dart throws in the sixth round instead of one late in the fifth.
2:04 p.m. — The Vikings are now around ten picks away from being up at 172. Running back, tight end, defensive back, linebacker could all make sense in that spot.
1:38 p.m. — If you missed it, Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders finally was taken by the Browns with pick 144 in the fifth round. The Vikings are now about 20 picks away from being on the clock again at 172.
1:04 p.m. — The Vikings traded with the Seattle Seahawks for quarterback Sam Howell, finally solving the team's backup quarterback vacancy. Minnesota traded the No. 142 overall pick in the fifth round for Howell and the No. 172 overall pick from the Seahawks, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
1:03 p.m. — The Vikings selected Georgia defensive lineman Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins with the No. 139 overall pick in the fifth round of the draft. Ingram-Dawkins has the ability to both play inside and on the edge. Last season for the Bulldogs, he recorded 19 total tackles, three sacks, batted down two passes and forced a fumble.
12:49 p.m. — Alec Lewis is "expecting defense" with the 139th pick for the Vikings. They'll be on the clock in a matter of minutes.
12:35 p.m. — Recent picks include CB Quincy Riley, S Malachi Moore, RB Dylan Sampson. Vikings coming up at 139 and 142, likely within the next 30 minutes or so.
12:04 p.m. — A couple notable names taken recently: Oklahoma S Billy Bowman Jr. and Texas TE Gunnar Helm. Vikings are less than 20 picks away.
11:43 a.m. — It's a bit of a run on defensive tackles here. Nebraska's Ty Robinson and Indiana's CJ West have both been taken.
11:30 a.m. — Massive (6'7", 330) Kentucky defensive lineman Deone Walker goes off the board at 109. The Vikings could look to continue adding to their trenches by dipping into a deep DT class today.
11:17 a.m. — Two notable running backs come off the board early in round four with VT's Bhayshul Tuten and ASU's Cam Skattebo. RB isn't an obvious need for the Vikings, but it's a position where teams can always look to add young talent. And this is a very deep RB class.
