Monday March 9th, 2015

Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Michael Del Zotto will miss 7-10 days with an upper body injury, the team announced on Sunday.

Del Zotto, 24, played in Saturday's loss to the Bruins, but sat out Sunday's loss to the Devils because of the injury.

In his first season in Philadelphia, Del Zotto has nine goals and 17 assists. His four game-winning goals are a career high.

He played the first four and a half seasons of his career with the Rangers before being dealt to the Predators at the trade deadline last season. He signed a one-year, $1.3 million contract with the Flyers in the offseason.

The Flyers have lost five of their last seven games and are 28-26-13 on the season. They are currently the No. 11 seed in the Eastern Conference, seven points behind the No. 8 seed Bruins.
