Forward Aron Johannsson added to the USA's first-half onslaught against Cuba by executing a chip to put the Americans up 3-0 on Cuba in the first half of their Gold Cup quarterfinal.

The 24-year-old striker lofted a shot from the right edge of the box while catching Cuban goalkeeper Diosvelis Guerra off his line. His shot landed in the opposite bottom corner of the net after a nice display of touch and skill. Michael Bradley set it up with a long pass from midfield, getting his second assist of the competition.

Clint Dempsey and Gyasi Zardes scored the first two goals, respectively, off crosses to get the United States out to a comfortable lead before Johannsson's chip. His fourth international goal was followed by an Omar Gonzalez tally just before halftime and two more Dempsey goals in the second half as part of a 6-0 rout.
