Johnny Football frenzy? Think again.

The Browns will limit media access to Saturday's rookie camp and other offseason activities to "regulars from the local Cleveland media and perhaps a few national writers," team director of communications Zak Gilbert said on Tuesday, according to ESPN.com's Pat McManamon.

Also, media members wishing to cover an offseason practice or minicamp must tell the team no later than 48 hours in advance, McManamon reports, and there will be no live video of the rookie minicamp.

Browns owner Jimmy Haslem has made it clear to Manziel that he wants the 21-year-old quarterback to keep a lower profile as a professional. He explained to Manziel that Cleveland "isn't Hollywood," and that he wants the 22nd pick in the draft to "act like a backup."

"We know it will bring a lot of attention," first-year head coach Mike Pettine said of Manziel on Monday. "We'll be in the business of controlling what we can control."

The NFL's media policy says veteran minicamps "must be open in their entirety to local media," McManamon reports, but there are no stipulations for rookie camp, when decisions are left up to the team.
