Another game after being snubbed for the World Cup, another goal for Landon Donovan.

The USA's most decorated player, still reeling from a shock exclusion from the country's World Cup roster, Donovan scored his third goal in two games in helping the LA Galaxy to a 1-1 draw at the Chicago Fire Sunday and adding to his all-time MLS regular season record, which now stands at 137 goals.

With the Galaxy trailing 1-0 after a Jeff Larentowicz penalty kick, Donovan latched onto a 74th-minute cross from Robbie Rogers and roofed a left-footed one-timer by the far post to level the score. It came in a similar, albeit more difficult, fashion than his two close-range goals against the Philadelphia Union last weekend.

Despite his recent hot streak, Donovan is still on the outside looking in for the World Cup barring an injury to a U.S. player, and even then he's no lock to be called in by Jurgen Klinsmann. Donovan is one of seven players eligible to be tabbed by Klinsmann in the event of an emergency, the others being Terrence Boyd, Joe Corona, Maurice Edu, Clarence Goodson, Michael Parkhurst and Brad Evans.
