Is Aaron Rodgers Still the Best Quarterback in the NFC North?
Between Aaron Rodgers, Matthew Stafford and Kirk Cousins, the NFC North has been quite impressive at the quarterback position. Vikings reporter Will Ragatz and SI Fantasy analyst Bill Enright discuss which qb will be the most successful on the field and in fantasy football next season.

Kaitlin O'Toole: There have been a ton of debates on who is the best quarterback in the north, and here for their insight on this is inside the Vikings reporter Will Ragatz and SI. Fantasy and gambling analysts Bill Enright. Will, I want to ask you, do you think Cousins could be the number one quarterback in the NFC North this year? [00:00:19][17.9]
Will Ragatz: Well, Kaitin, it's interesting because if you look at the statistical production, especially the efficiency, Kirk Cousins has been the best quarterback in the north last year and for the last couple of years since he was signed as a free agent in 2018. When you're looking at who is the best quarterback in the north, you have to consider some of the contextual factors.

And Cousins has had the two best receivers of any quarterback in the north with Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs. Rodgers had Devonte Adams, but he hasn't really had that number two option. And Matthew Stafford has been really productive as well. So it's really close between the three, which you couldn't say for much of the decade when Aaron Rodgers was the undisputed best quarterback in the north. I still have Rodgers as my number one because of his ability to make plays outside of the pocket. But he's thirty six. The other two guys are thirty two. It's possible we could see a passing of the torch this year in 2020.
Kaitlin O'Toole: Bill, I want to get your fantasy take on this. Who is the best QB to draft for fantasy purposes?
Bill Enright: Yeah. When you're talking about fantasy football, it's a lot different than reality because in fantasy it really doesn't matter what these quarterbacks do in terms of helping their teams win it's all about helping your fantasy teams win for the last couple of seasons. Aaron Rodgers, last year he finished with three hundred and twenty eight points. Matthew Stafford in just eight games, finished with two hundred and seven points. And Kirk Cousins, although he played 16 games, he finished with two hundred and ninety six points. When you're looking at where they're getting drafted this year, they're ADP. Rodgers is the tenth quarterback coming off the board. Staffords the sixteenth and Cousins is the twenty second.

But you're bang for the buck is probably with Stafford because he's not going to cost you a pretty penny when it comes to where you have to draft them. But if he stays healthy, he can put up just as many were possibly even more points than Aaron Rodgers. Can you look at Kenny Golladay, Marvin Jones, they drafted a dynamic back in the D'Andre Swift. So the Lions certainly have some more playmakers compared to the Packers. And you're getting Stafford at a discount compared to where you'd have to draft Aaron Rodgers. And for that reason, I'd go with Matthew Stafford is my best quarterback for fantasy football purposes when it comes to the NFC North.
