Miami QB Tyler Van Dyke Enters Transfer Portal, per Report

Miami quarterback Tyler Van Dyke entered the NCAA transfer portal on Monday, according to a report from 247Sports

Van Dyke, a junior, has been with the Hurricanes since 2020, featuring in a total of 32 games after debuting in relief of an injured D’Eriq King in 2021. Across 11 games in 2023, Van Dyke completed a career-high 65.8% of his passes, while throwing for 2,703 yards, 19 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions.

After four years at Miami, Van Dyke will be playing for a new program in 2024 after entering the transfer portal. He has one year of eligibility remaining.

The 6’4”, 225-pound gunslinger finishes his Hurricanes career with 7,469 passing yards, 54 touchdowns, and 23 interceptions. He’s sixth all-time for the program in passing yards, and fourth in touchdown passes.

Tyler Van Dyke is entering the NCAA transfer portal after four seasons at Miami.

He joins Kansas State’s Will Howard and Mississippi State’s Will Rogers among the notable quarterbacks to enter the transfer portal after the conclusion of the 2023 season.

Van Dyke, a former three-star recruit out of Suffield Academy in Glastonbury, Connecticut, had an up-and-down career during his time in Coral Gables. He capped off his Miami career with a win over Boston College, during which he threw for 290 yards and two touchdowns.
