Cincinnati Adds Local Commitment From Three-Star 2026 Linebacker Derek Uran

A second commitment in the class.

CINCINNATI — The Bearcats football team landed a local commitment from three-star 2026 Elder linebacker Derek Uran on Monday night.

According to 247Sports, Uran is the 63rd-best linebacker nationally and the 43rd-best player in Ohio. 

The 6-2, 195-pound thumper held eight other offers from schools like Central Michigan and Toledo before committing to Cincinnati. He is Cincinnati's second commitment in the class, joining linebacker Jerimia Collier. The junior committed quickly after Cincinnati offered him last month.
