Brandon Marshall called a Detroit Lions fan's bluff on Twitter after he verbally attacked the Bears' wide receiver and his mother, and now Marshall's mom says she is "honored" that her son took a stand for her, but doubts her son will be fighting any time soon.

The fight started with @AnthonyGKalla insulting Marshall and his mother on Instagram and Twitter, which led to an exchange in which Marshall tried to get the troll to agree to a boxing match in exchange for $25k.

The fan quickly retreated and set his Twitter account to private without apologizing, but Marshall's mother, Diane, told TMZ that she appreciates her son sticking up for her. “I am honored that my son wanted to have a duel on his mother’s behalf,” adding that she doubts Marshall will actually have to fight over the incident.
