NBA Has Officially Lost Its Mind

Blake Griffin, Chris Paul and DeAndre Jordan

Blake Griffin, Chris Paul and DeAndre Jordan

The most intriguing drama of the NBA off-season played out Wednesday night as DeAndre Jordan dissed Dallas for the Clippers, yet all anyone is talking about today is the emoji war that broke out during the fiasco. Michael Jordan (surprise, surprise) won the war, Kobe Bryant came in second and Paul Pierce came in dead last. The drama also led to a bunch of memes and an angry Cuban family. As the ad used to say, The NBA ... it's FANtastic!

The Other Crazy Sports Story

The mystery of Jason Pierre-Paul's hand injury got a little clearer when Adam Schefter tweeted a photo of Pierre-Paul's medical chart (more on that later). The image revealed that Pierre-Paul had his right index finger amputated, which was reportedly done to speed the recovery process. If that's not enough, Bucs cornerback C.J. Wilson had a fireworks accident of his own and had to have two fingers amputated. This led to the baseball C.J. Wilson making fun of the football version.

Speaking of Adam Schefter

The ESPN reporter angered a lot of people by tweeting an image of Pierre-Paul's medical records, none more so than Steelers LB James Harrison. For some odd reason, Schefter then tweeted out a bunch of football emojis, which caused a bunch of people to rip him even more. Below is my favorite.

Lovely Lady of the Day

Patrick from Parts Unknown wrote in to request that I feature Lucy Pinder as LLOD in honor of Wimbledon. Seems like a fair request and one easy to oblige. Lucy earns LLOD honors (click here for full-size gallery).

Who Wants a Seahawks Tailgate Hearse?

I can't think of a better way to spend $4,000.

Church of Trees

A New Zealand man spent four years constructing a church made completely from living trees.

Coach K likes Kanye ... Wade Boggs's fishing boat is for sale ... Bizarre tweet by the Yankees to get Brett Gardner into the All-Star game ... This poor White Sox fan will not enjoy her beer ... Another goofy A-Rod photo ... The new FIFA rankings are out. Argentina is No. 1 while the U.S. is way lower ... You know things are going bad for the Mets when their Triple A team criticizes (on Twitter) the big league club ... The 50 greatest Sci-Fi TV shows of all time ... People on Twitter are not happy that Marisa Tomei was cast as Spider-Man's Aunt May ... A Georgia woman adopted a dying dog and created a bucket list ... The Orange is the New Blackcast looks a lot better when it's all dressed up ... Russia wants you to be safe while taking selfies.

Fake Umps in the Stands

Two guys dressed up like umpires and attended Wednesday's Mets-Giants game. They were more entertaining than the game itself. (H/T Gunaxin)

Fake Refs in the Crowd

That video reminded me of the time two guys attended a WWE event and pretended to be referees.

Great Moments in Soccer Warm-Ups

This was posted on BroBible and its editors had no idea where it came from or what team it is. But a great find, nonetheless.

Happy Birthday Fred Savage

In honor of Savage's 39th birthday, here's the scene where Kevin Arnold broke up with Becky Slater. She didn't take it well.
