Watch: Cubs get David Ross a Rascal because he is old

David Ross is retiring after one more season as the backup catcher and clubhouse glue guy for the Cubs, and to celebrate the team has turned 2016 into a “yearlong retirement party” that consists largely of good-natured mocking of Ross’s age.
The 38-year-old seems to love the jokes and on Thursday they unveiled the most elaborate one yet, gifting the backstop a robot caddy and then surprising him with a Rascal to go along with it.
These guys just aren't going to let @D_Ross3 go off quietly. #yearlongretirementpartyhttps://t.co/nAVtRUsrZ4

Chicago stars Anthony Rizzo and Kris Bryant have also started an Instagram page for “Grandpa Rossy” following their teammate as he works through one last season in the big leagues.
