MLB Ump Larry Vanover Misses Season-High 29 Calls in Red Sox-Rays

Major League Baseball’s umpiring problem hit a new low Tuesday night when Larry Vanover set a season high for missed calls in a game, which left the Red Sox and Rays in disbelief all evening long.

The veteran umpire missed an astounding 29 calls while working home plate in a game that Tampa Bay won with a walk-off home run in the bottom of the 11th inning.

This video below of a collection of Vanover’s missed calls should be an embarrassment for the powers that be in MLB, because you can clearly see just how awful he was all game long.

Brutal.
