Dodgers Highlights: Chris Taylor Plays Hero as LA Walks Off on Giants

The Dodgers are walk off winners in the regular season finale at Dodger Stadium.

The Dodgers walk it off in their final home game of the regular season! It took extra innings, but Chris Taylor played the hero of the night with a clutch double play in the top of the 10th inning and walk off RBI single in the bottom of the 10th to give LA the 3-2 win over the Giants.

Box Score

The Dodgers got on the board first with a second inning 2 run home run from James Outman. It was his 22nd homer of the year.

Despite the early offense, it turned out to be something of a pitcher's duel with defense being the difference maker for the Dodgers. On the highlight side, Mookie Betts and Miguel Rojas put on a clinic up the middle, making several dazzling plays. On the low lights side, a glaring error that wasn't an error came in the 5th inning when James Outman misplayed a fly out to center thanks to a tough blend of sun and shadows from the late afternoon start.

The next batter, LaMonte Wade Jr took Lance Lynn deep to tie the game at 2.

It was otherwise a solid outing for Lynn who struck out 6 over 6 innings and allowed just the two runs on the homer, the 43rd he's allowed this season. Dodgers pitching was electric, tossing four innings and allowing no earned runs thanks in part to this run saving play by Chris Taylor.

With the ghost runner at third base and one out in the bottom of the 10th inning, Taylor connected on the RBI single to send the fans home happy.
