Dodgers Highlights: 'Hangover Lineup' Leads to Sweep of Mariners

The Dodgers do everything to beat the Mariners.

After the Los Angeles Dodgers celebrated their National League Western Division title, they didn’t let up on the Seattle Mariners. On a beautiful Sunday afternoon at T-Mobile Park, when both Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman rested, the Dodgers completed the sweep of the Mariners 6-to-1 with the affectionately named "hangover lineup".

In the first, Jason Heyward homered and continued a torrid stretch at the plate.

Shelby Miller opened the game for the Dodgers and pitched well in the first.

In the second, Kolten Wong singled in Amed Rosario. Austin Barnes blasted a 2-run homer.

Barnes is hitting near .300 since August 1.

In the second Ryan Yarbrough allowed the Mariners to load the bases and score a run.

In the third, Yarbrough allowed a single but nothing else.

Rosario doubled to open the fourth, went to third on Wong’s grounder, and scored on Heyward’s single.

Yarbrough was perfect in the fifth.

To open the sixth, Rosario singled, stole second, and went to third on Wong’s grounder, but was stranded.

With two outs in the sixth, Gavin Stone relieved Yarbrough. Yarbrough threw 89 pitches in 4.2 innings, struck out 7, and walked 2.

To open the seventh, Heyward doubled but was stranded.

Stone walked the leadoff hitter in the seventh. He issued another walk after a grounder but escaped the jam.

To open the eighth, James Outman blasted his 21st home run of the season.

Chris Taylor walked to open the ninth but was erased by a force play hit into Heyward.

Stone made a case to be on the postseason roster as he had 5 strikeouts in 3.1 innings to earn his first career save.
