The Los Angeles Dodgers are looking to win their series against the Pittsburgh Pirates on Saturday at UNIQLO Field at Dodger Stadium.

The Dodgers won Friday’s series opener in walk-off 5-4 fashion thanks to an RBI single from Tommy Edman in the 10th inning.

Unfortunately, the Dodgers lost their center fielder in the process, as Andy Pages suffered a fractured hand and will miss significant time.

“It’s just really unfortunate, obviously,” manager Dave Roberts said after the game. “It’s not season-ending, because obviously things like that is four or five weeks. So I would expect him back, knowing him, on the earlier side. There’s still time in the season for him to be back, but I feel for him because he was having such a good year and he likes to play. But yeah, we’ve got to move on and hold down the fort until he’s back.”

The Dodgers are calling up outfielder Alek Thomas to replace Pages on the active roster. He's a plus defender in center field who the team is hoping can provide some offense after tinkering with his swing.

Dodgers vs Pirates Pitching Matchup on Saturday

Left-handed pitcher Tarik Skubal is taking the mound for the Dodgers in his fourth start since being acquired by LA.

The reigning two-time Cy Young award winner has allowed six earned runs (seven runs total) over 17 innings for a 3.18 ERA with the Dodgers.

On the season, he owns a 2.85 ERA with 135 strikeouts across 113.2 innings of work.

Opposite Skubal will be Pirates right-hander Jared Jones, who has a 4.78 ERA with 72 strikeouts over 64 innings this season.

He faced the Dodgers on June 10, allowing two runs on three hits over four innings of work.
