In this story:

The Los Angeles Dodgers are looking to win their third straight World Series title in 2026, but it won't be easy. Los Angeles is clearly the hunted team in baseball, and every other squad will be trying to be the one to knock them off.

But the Dodgers do have the most talent on their roster, making them the early-season favorite to three-peat. However, it's not just the star power on the team that has helped them solidify themselves as the best team in the sport over the last few years.

Instead, Los Angeles has a nice collection of quality role players who fit into the system well, and it has made for a well-rounded approach all around. One of these is young outfielder Andy Pages, who had a very productive 2025 season for the team.

In 156 games for Los Angeles last season, Pages hit .272 with 27 home runs and 86 runs batted in. The right-handed hitter was a key part of this team repeating, and 2025 was a full breakout year for him.

With his success on the field, there have been calls for the Dodgers to sign him to a long-term extension, keeping him on the roster for the long haul. But according to Dodgers insider Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic, there haven't been any conversations between the two sides.

"The Dodgers have not broached any extension talks with him, league sources told The Athletic last week," Ardaya wrote.

Just because it hasn't happened yet doesn't mean that it won't. Pages was one of the heroes from the World Series last year, on top of his excellent season at the plate.

The outfielder has played like a future All-Star in the sport, and he will once again be a central piece to this team. But all Pages is doing is taking things one step at a time, and not getting ahead of himself from what he has done so far.

“The postseason’s what the postseason was, and I’m not really focused on that,” Pages said. “I’m focused on what I’m doing right now, and my confidence is really high.”

Reads in the outfield were a serious problem for Pages at the start of last season, but he has worked on his craft to get better. Pages has improved his defense a ton, and the Dodgers are very encouraged by his improvement in short order.

If Pages can turn himself fully into another star on this Dodgers roster, the rest of the league could be in real trouble. Los Angeles needs to inject some youth into the team, and Pages is just 25 years old right now.
