Dodgers' Miguel Rojas Has Hilarious Admission After Becoming World Series Hero

In this story:
Los Angeles Dodgers infielder Miguel Rojas hit the biggest home run of his career in Game 7 of the World Series against the Toronto Blue Jays, tying the game for the Dodgers in the top of the ninth inning.
With the Dodgers down to their last two outs, Rojas stepped to the plate to save the game and the season for LA. Prior to Game 7, Rojas hadn't recorded a hit since Oct. 1 against the Cincinnati Reds, but ended his hitless streak with a single early in the game.

He followed it up with his first home run since Sept. 19 — a no-doubter into the bullpen in left field — to give the Dodgers a lifeline on the road. A Will Smith home run in the top of the 11th, followed by a scoreless inning from World Series MVP Yoshinobu Yamamoto, did enough to get the Dodgers over the line and give them their second World Series championship in as many years.
Rojas humorously reacted to the moment following the game.
"Hitting a homer wasn't on my Bingo card to be honest," Rojas said.

Rojas hit just seven home runs throughout the regular season, and has only ever reached double-digit homers in a season once. His bomb on Saturday was just the second he had ever hit in the postseason, the other one coming with the Miami Marlins against the Atlanta Braves in 2020.
He batted .278 in the postseason despite his lack of hits through the NLDS, getting five hits across his eight games. All of his hits other than the home run in Game 7 were singles.

The infielder also had a clutch play on the defensive side of the ball in extra innings, catching Isiah Kiner-Falefa out at home on a force play with the bases loaded after making a solid pick on a grounder.
Rojas' heroics were key for the Dodgers in their World Series win, and the veteran will surely go down as a hero in Los Angeles after helping bring them their second-straight World Series title. The infielder is now set to enter free agency and has stated he wants to retire as a Dodger.
