The Miami Marlins are now 4-1 for the first time since 2020 after securing their win over the Chicago White Sox, 9-2, on Tuesday night at loanDepot park.

After trailing 2-0, the Marlins finished the game with nine unanswered runs. Miami took advantage of many errors the White Sox committed in the game. The Marlins remain in first place in the National League East division.

Liam Hicks Continues Hot Streak

Liam Hicks is totally locked in. Through four games this season, the 26-year-old has gone 4-for-11 and brought in eight RBIs. Hicks is currently the leader in RBIs in baseball. When a player is this hot, you have to keep him in the lineup. Manager Clayton McCullough can't drop the ball on this one.

Hicks is the backup catcher to Agustin Ramirez. He can also play first base. It's nice to see them hitting this well alongside other Marlins hitters who are performing well, like Owen Caissie.

Marlins Bullpen Dominating Late Innings

One of the most impressive takeaways of the Marlins season so far has been their bullpen. Against the White Sox, the relievers shut the door. The skippers used four relivers on Tuesday's game: Andrew Nardi, Anthony Bender, Calvin Faucher, and Pete Fairbanks.

The bullpen tossed four innings and didn't give up any hits or runs. They allowed just one walk and recorded eight strikeouts combined. That's a masterful performance. The Marlins are making an early case for one of the best bullpens in baseball. Hopefully, this goes on for the rest of the season.

Griffin Conine Shines at the Plate

One of the stars of the game goes to Conine. The 28-year-old smacked his first home run of the season. Conine belted a two-run home run in the bottom of the eighth inning to right field. When he hit it, everyone knew the ball was gone.

Conine finished the game going 2-for-4 with two hits and two RBIs. In 10 at-bats this season, Conine is slashing .400/.455/1.255 OPS with three runs and four hits. Conine has been all over the field. He has started two games at left field, two at right field, and one game at first base.

He needs more at-bats to continue developing his confidence and momentum. If he's inserted into today's lineup, then Conine must continue to deliver timely hits. In his position, he can't afford to go hitless because he's not considered an everyday starter. So Conine must continue to excel at the plate and defensively.

Sandy Alcantara will take the ball to pitch against Shane Smith in Wednesday's series finale, which begins at 1:10 pm ET.
