These 7 Mets Prospects Made Baseball America's Top 100 List

Seven Mets prospects made Baseball America's Top 100 list.

Seven Mets made Baseball America's newest Top 100 prospect list, which was released on Monday.

In order to be eligible for said list, a player must not have exceeded 130 major league at-bats, 50 innings pitched or 30 appearances.

Here are the seven Mets on this list:

No. 8: Francisco Alvarez

No. 15: Brett Baty

No. 21: Kodai Senga

No. 46: Kevin Parada

No. 80: Alex Ramirez

No. 91: Jett Williams

No. 99: Ronny Mauricio

Alvarez (62 career big-league at-bats), Baty (94 MLB at-bats) and Senga (32 major league innings pitched) are all mainstays on the Mets' big-league roster, so they will graduate from this list in the coming months. Although Alvarez and Baty began the season in Triple-A, they have both since been called up and are playing regularly in the majors. Baty is the Mets' starting third baseman and Alvarez is getting the majority of playing time at catcher with Omar Narvaez on the injured list.

Senga, 30, is the oldest player on this list due to his extensive career in Japan.

Mauricio is off to a monstrous start in Triple-A this season, slashing .333/.370/.581 with six homers and 19 RBI. The Mets have recently begun playing him at second base, which could mean a call-up is in the near future.

Parada, Ramirez and Williams still have some development to endure before they are ready for the major leagues. But they have all gotten off to solid starts to the minor league season and their respective affiliates.
