Look: Philadelphia Phillies Cheer, Sign Autographs at Little League World Series

The Philadelphia Phillies had plenty of fun before they took on the Washington Nationals in Williamsport on Sunday night

The Philadelphia Phillies weren’t just going to play in the Little League Classic in Williamsport, Penn., on Sunday. The Phillies spent most of the morning and early afternoon signing autographs and taking in one of the games before they faced the Washington Nationals.

The Nationals also participated and interacted with fans before the game.

The Little League Twitter feed documented it all, including Phillies slugger Bryce Harper doing the “Big Ball” celebration while he and his teammates were taking in a game that featured the Little Leaguers from Media, Pa.

The Phillies and the Nationals played on Saturday in Washington D.C. as part of their three-game series. After the game, they traveled up to Williamsport.

Before their game, they spent time interacting with fans and players, signing autographs and talking baseball.

Phillies shortstop Trea Turner spent time signing autographs for players.

Phillies catcher Garrett Stubbs did Turner one better, not only signing a Phillies hat but getting a player to sign his jersey, saying “You’re going to sign my jersey, too.”

Harper did some time in the television booth during the broadcast of Little League games, collected some pins for his hat and signed a baseball for Stella Weaver.

The Phillies also interacted with the Media, Pa., team, after they lost their game to Rhode Island and were eliminated from the tournament.
