Cincinnati Reds Lose to Seattle Mariners 3-1 on Tuesday Night
The Reds are now 9-8 on the season after losing their second-straight game.
The Cincinnati Reds came up short on Tuesday night, losing to the Mariners 3-1. They fall to 9-8 on the season.
Hunter Greene only lasted four innings, giving up four hits, three walks and one run. He also had eight strikeouts.
That run came in the fourth after Mitch Garver scored on a double by Jonatan Clase.
Jake Fraley scored on a Stuart Fairchild ground out in the fifth, but the Reds struggled at the plate for most of the night.
Mitch Haniger singled to drive in another run that made it 3-1 Seattle.
The Reds tried to rally in the ninth, loading the bases, but Tyler Stephenson flied out to end the game.
Cincinnati will try to avoid the sweep on Wednesday. First pitch is at 4:10 p.m. ET.
