On Wednesday night, the Philadelphia 76ers travel to the Motor City, where they are set to take on the Detroit Pistons for the first time since early November.

In their prior meeting, the Sixers came out on top, 114-106, in a matchup that saw Joel Embiid go off for 33 points and 16 rebounds, while Tobias Harris and Tyrese Maxey combined for 53 points.

Throughout the match, the reigning MVP had to play into Jalen Duren, who had a lackluster night against Philadelphia, only managing to put up four points and record four rebounds for his side.

However, the 20-year-old won't have an opportunity to bounce back as he is set to sit out of Wednesday night's match with a left ankle sprain. His absence against the Sixers will be the latest part of a difficult trend for Monty Williams in his first season with the Pistons, as Duren has missed nine other matches so far this season.

While he has had issues consistently playing, in the matches that he plays, Duren is a solid role-player, putting up an average 13-point, 11-rebound double-double.

Duren isn't the only player that Williams will be without on Wednesday night, as Marvin Bagley III is set to miss the match with a sprain in his lower right back.

It will be Bagley's second straight missed match after sitting out of the Pistons' loss to the Indiana Pacers on Monday night.

In being without the 24-year-old, Detroit is without a source of offensive energy from the bench, as he is averaging ten points per game on 58 percent shooting.

The Sixers are set to take on the Pistons from Little Caesars' Arena with tip-off set for 7:00 p.m. EST.
