Former 76er Will Miss Reunion on Monday

In this story:
On Monday night, the Philadelphia 76ers are set to return home as they take on the San Antonio Spurs, coming off of a relatively close victory against the Charlotte Hornets over the weekend.
Joel Embiid led the way for the Sixers, scoring 33 points on 47 percent shooting, with Tyrese Maxey putting up 21 points to help put Philadelphia on top.
While the main talking point surrounding Monday night's match regards the match-up between Embiid and the first pick of the 2023 draft Victor Wenbanyama, there is one player who won't take to the court; former Sixer Charles Bassey.
The 23-year-old has been out since December when he tore his ACL in a G-League game as a part of the Austin Spurs, ending his second season in San Antonio early.
Bassey, who was drafted with the 23rd pick in the second round by the Sixers back in the 2021 NBA Draft, only managed to play one season in the City of Brotherly Love, before was waived last season.
During his 23-game stint with the Sixers, Bassey managed to be a solid reserve player, playing behind the likes of Embiid, DeAndre Jordan, and Andre Drummond, amongst others.
Since being waived by Philadelphia, the 23-year-old has yet to play against his former team, missing out on both games last season.
With Bassey out, Greg Popovich still has the likes of Zach Collins, Dominick Barlow, and Wenbanyama to occupy the front court, granted both Barlow and Collins were downgraded to questionable prior to Monday night's match.
The Sixers will welcome the Spurs into Wells Fargo Center on Monday night, with tip-off scheduled for 7:00 p.m. EST.
