Pair of Former Sixers Listed as Last-Minute Trade Targets

In this story:
Time is running out for the Philadelphia 76ers and the rest of the NBA to make upgrades to their rosters. The trade deadline is set for this Thursday at 3 p.m. After that, teams will have to wait until the offseason to begin negotiations again.
With just a few days until the deadline, the people at Bleacher Report listed last-minute targets for each team. The Sixers' group of names featured not one but two former players.
The first player mentioned was Andre Drummond. He spent half a season with the team in 2022 before being shipped to the Brooklyn Nets in the James Harden trade. Now with the Chicago Bulls, the former All-Star is averaging 7.7 PPG and 8.3 RPG off the bench.
The other former Sixer mentioned is someone who suited up for the team during "The Process" years. Dario Saric has bounced around the league in recent seasons and now finds himself on the Golden State Warriors. This season, Saric is averaging 10.2 PPG and 5.5 RPG while shooting 41.2% from beyond the arc.
At this point, there is no telling what the Sixers are going to do at the deadline. Following the latest injury news to Joel Embiid, Daryl Morey might completely change his plans.
If the Sixers do seek upgrades, both of these players could provide a lift. Especially Drummond, who can start at center during the time Embiid is recovering. Saric would provide lineup flexibility as someone who could be a small-ball five while also being able to play alongside Embiid.
Aside from Saric and Drummond, some of the other players mentioned included Bruce Brown, Gordon Hayward, Kelly Olynyk, and Dejounte Murray.
