Sixers Star Posts Rare Stat Line in Major Win Over Heat

In this story:
After picking up a win at home over the OKC Thunder, the Philadelphia 76ers hit the road for a crucial matchup with the Miami Heat. This was an important game for both teams, as they are neck-and-neck in the standings with just over a week to go in the season.
Things ended up going down to the wire, but the Sixers were able to come out on top. This win would not have been possible if not for the play of Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey. The reigning MVP did well in his second game back from injury, but it was the first-time All-Star who stole the show in Miami.
In 41 minutes of action, Maxey fell just shy of a triple-double. He finished with a stat line of 37 points, nine rebounds, and 11 assists. It was an efficient night for the young guard as he shot 57.7% from the field and connected on five three-pointers.
Along with being efficient shooting-wise, Maxey also took great care of the ball. He finished with just one turnover to go with his double-digit assists.
With this outing, Maxey has done something never before seen in Sixers history. He is the first player to record a stat line of at least 37 points, nine rebounds, 11 assists, and five made threes.
Maxey tonight:

Nine rebounds and 11 assists ties Maxey’s season highs in each category. His 37 points are the fourth-highest amount he’s scored in any game this year. Maxey’s highest came in February when he erupted for a career-high 51 points in a win over the Utah Jazz.
