Can Ayo Dosunmu prove he's worthy of a spot in the rotation?

In this story:
Chicago Bulls guard Ayo Dosunmu made his bed; now, it's time to lie in it. After deciding to return to the Bulls despite the team stocking up on guards, the third-year guard must prove he is worthy of a spot in the rotation. With Jevon Carter joining the Bulls this offseason and Coby White and Dalen Terry still around, Dosunmu will face an uphill battle to get meaningful minutes.
Guard logjam
Despite reported interest from several teams, the Illinois guard ultimately chose to re-sign with the Bulls, committing to a three-year deal. However, the apparent logjam at the guard position introduces uncertainty surrounding his role for this season and the future ones as well.
"In somewhat shocking fashion, Ayo Dosunmu inked a new deal with the Chicago Bulls this summer for three years. The decision came as a surprise because of the sheer number of guards on the roster, creating a somewhat unclear vision of how Dosunmu fits into the picture," Elias Schuster of Bleacher Nation wrote.
How he can establish himself
Though Dosunmu had a solid season in his sophomore year, he struggled to find his mark from beyond the arc, making just 31 percent from long distance. The Bulls re-signing him should mean they see a role for him in the future.
"The Bulls obviously still see a role for Dosunmu moving forward, but how big will it be? Is he just the 10th man in the rotation that will play some nights and not others? This season will be all about Dosunmu proving that he can be more than that during his Bulls tenure...that will start with finding a way to contribute more consistently in halfcourt sets. Dosunmu can get ahead of almost anyone in transition, but he needs to hit his spot-up looks, cut hard toward the rim, and show that he can create his own shot a bit more," Schuster added..
