On Monday night, the Cleveland Cavaliers earned a dominant 115-92 victory over the Charlotte Hornets.

In the win, the Wine and Gold recorded a season-high 41 assists, their most in a regular-season or postseason game in nearly 10 years.

A career-high eight of these assists came from Evan Mobley.

The 22-year-old had an efficient, well-rounded performance. He also added a team-high 17 points (tied) on 66.7% shooting from the field, seven rebounds, and one steal in just 24:56 of playing time. With this stat line, he ended up joining some very exclusive company.

According to @CavsNotes on X, Mobley is just the fourth player in NBA history to tally at least 17 points, seven rebounds, and eight assists in a game in 25 minutes-or-less at age 22 or younger. The only other players to do this are 2024 All-Star Scottie Barnes (November 19, 2023), two-time NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo (November 5, 2016), and Hall-of-Famer Clyde Drexler (January 3, 1985).

After Monday night’s contest, the Cleveland forward reflected on his performance.

“It felt good out there,” Mobley said. “I’ve been in-and-out this whole season, so it feels good to just be out there playing with my teammates and going out there and doing what I love to do. We had a tough one [on Sunday night], but had a bounceback game, and I felt like everyone felt good after this one.”

Additionally, according to @CavsNotes on X, Mobley also became just the second player in Cavaliers franchise history to record this stat line, regardless of age. Former Cleveland forward Kevin Love achieved these marks for the Wine and Gold in a victory over the Detroit Pistons on November 4, 2022.
