Cavaliers Complete 17-Point Comeback In Win Over Bulls

According to @CavsNotes on X, Cleveland earned its second-largest come-from-behind win of the season on Wednesday night.

On Wednesday night, the Cleveland Cavaliers were on the brink of suffering a second consecutive home loss for the first time since December 21 and 29.

With 6:14 remaining in the second quarter, the Chicago Bulls held a 46-29 lead, their largest lead of the night. The Wine and Gold also had yet to possess the lead at this point in the game.

But Cleveland refused to quit, outscoring the Bulls 79-59 over the remainder of the contest and coming away with a 108-105 win.

According to @CavsNotes on X, the Cavaliers’ 17-point comeback victory over Chicago is the team’s second-largest come-from-behind win of the season.

After trailing by 17, the Cavaliers went on a 9-0 run, which was punctuated by a Donovan Mitchell dunk with 2:47 left in the first half. The Wine and Gold eventually trailed at halftime by a score of 49-43.

However, according to Cavaliers Head Coach J.B. Bickerstaff, the team stuck to its original gameplan in the second half.

“One of the things that this group is, is they believe in what they’re doing,” Bickerstaff said. “So no one felt like they had to change and do something different because shots weren’t going. So they just continued to play the right way, continued to create for one another, and then scored 37 points in the fourth quarter to win the game.”

Cleveland shot just 43.9% from the field and 23.8% from beyond the arc in the game’s first 24 minutes. But the Wine and Gold flipped this script in the second half, shooting 52.4% from the field and 43.8% from three-point range.

Mitchell ultimately led the way for the Cavaliers in the game’s final 24 minutes, scoring 21 of his team-high 30 points in this span.
