LOOK: Cavaliers Reveal Inaugural NBA In-Season Tournament Court

Cleveland's first-ever NBA In-Season Tournament court design coincides with the team's reported new "City Edition" uniform, which is inspired by the city's Playhouse Square.

This Friday, the Cleveland Cavaliers will begin their four-game NBA In-Season Tournament schedule on the road against the Indiana Pacers.

Cleveland’s next NBA In-Season Tournament contest will be at home against another Central Division opponent, the Detroit Pistons, on Friday, November 17th.

This is when the Cavaliers will debut their new NBA In-Season Tournament court.

Earlier today, the team revealed their inaugural NBA In-Season Tournament court design that will be on display at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland this season.

The NBA also revealed new court designs for each of the league’s 29 other teams today, which will be used during the league’s first-ever In-Season Tournament this season.

With “The Land” in large script at center court, along with a Wine and Gold theme, Cleveland’s design seems to align with their reported new “City Edition” uniform, which is inspired by the city’s Playhouse Square.

The team released their 2023-24 uniform schedule last week, which says that their “City Edition” uniform will also debut on Friday, November 17th. The uniform will be worn for the Cavaliers’ second NBA In-Season Tournament home game as well, when the team hosts the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday, November 28th.

This correlation likely suggests that Cleveland’s NBA In-Season Tournament court may also serve as the team’s “City Edition” court this season.

As opposed to last season’s tan and light blue colorway, this season’s apparent “City Edition” uniform and court combination embraces the team’s current Wine and Gold brand identity.

Since the 2018-19 season, each of the Cavaliers’ previous “City Edition” uniforms has been accompanied with a matching court, and this trend seems to potentially be continuing this season.
