Overreactions To Cleveland Cavaliers Preseason

In this story:
The preseason is officially over and next up for the Cleveland Cavaliers is Opening Night against the Brooklyn Nets. Before we move on from the previous four exhibition games, let's have some fun and overreact to some of the storylines that came out of the preseason.
Emoni Bates Is Going To Be An All-Star
There's one player that single-handedly stole the show during the Cavaliers' four preseason games. Emoni Bates was must-see TV during this stretch.
He played in all four games and averaged 10.5 points while shooting 50 from the floor. There's a lot to love about the potential this second-round pick has.
Bates is currently on a two-way contract so he'll only be available for a limited number of games this season. However, if he keeps at this trajectory, he could be an All-Star in a few years.
Cavaliers Have A Deep Roster
A big weakness for the Cavaliers last season was their depth, specifically in the frontcourt. Cleveland has shown through the preseason that the bench shouldn't be something to worry about during the season and could be one of the better ones in the NBA.
Caris LeVert, Georges Niang, Ty Jerome, Isaac Okoro, Dean Wade, and Damian Jones all received a decent amount of playing time during the preseason and looked solid in their role.
Cavs Struck Gold With Ty Jerome
Who will be the Cavs' backup point guard has been a topic of conversation for some time now. Then Ty Jerome emerged with J.B. Bickerstaff saying that it's going to be hard to keep him off the floor.
Jerome played in each of the preseason and averaged 9.3 points while shooting 54 percent from the floor. More importantly, the four-year veteran dished out 5.0 assists a game in just under 18 minutes a night.
Cleveland hasn't had a playmaker like this off the bench in a few years but now they have a game manager they can more than rely on. Jerome has never been the primary backup point guard for a team before but he's definitely ready for that responsibility.
