Memphis Grizzlies Work Out New Player

In this story:
It was reported by John Martin of The Daily Memphian that Memphis Tigers guard Kendric Davis has a workout scheduled with the Memphis Grizzlies. Davis played 34 games for the Tigers last season, averaging 21.9 PPG, 5.4 APG, and 3.7 RPG on 41.4% from the field and 34.6% from deep. Davis also averaged 2.0 steals per game on the defensive end.
During his time in college, which included one season at TCU, three seasons at SMU, and one season at Memphis, Davis had four All-AAC selections, an AAC Tourney MVP, and a 2021-22 AAC POY award. A 15.7 PPG scorer across his entire collegiate career, Davis is a 5'11" guard who saw his scoring increase each year of college.
Projected to go in the second round or potentially undrafted, Davis should be available when the Grizzlies pick 25th, 45th, and 56th in the 2023 NBA Draft. There have been rumors that Memphis is looking for ways to move up in the draft, but that would not impact their possible connection to Davis, who should be available wherever the Grizzlies are picking.
It's always important to note that a team working out a draft prospect does not mean they intend to select them. This is especially the case for players like Davis who may go undrafted, as it's always good to get a look at players who could be open to accepting training camp invites after not being selected.
