Update on Injury Suffered in Brooklyn Nets vs. Memphis Grizzlies

Brooklyn Nets guard Cam Thomas suffered an apparent ankle injury during Monday night's game vs. the Memphis Grizzlies and did not return to the game:

Shortly after Thomas was helped back to the locker room, the Nets announced an official injury update, stating that it was a right ankle injury, and he would not return. As of right now, this is the latest update on the injury. Additional information will likely become available once Thomas has undergone testing, which may or may not happen before the media is addressed after the game.

Thomas has been coming into his own in the NBA this season, averaging a career-high 21.0 PPG for the Nets. While the consistency has fluctuated for Thomas, he has performed very well as a starter for the Nets, especially since reentering the starting lineup at the end of January.

Thomas has 17 games with at least 20 points this season, 6 games with at least 30 points, and 3 games with at least 40 points. A pure scorer, Thomas knows how to get a bucket, and has been able to put that on display for the Nets this season.

Hopefully this injury is not too serious, as Thomas looked to be in some real pain as he was helped back to the locker room. An exciting young player, Thomas has been solid this season, and especially as of late.
