While Dillon Brooks is no longer a member of the Memphis Grizzlies, the new Houston Rockets forward still has a great relationship with his former teammates. Ja Morant is of course one of those Grizzlies players who still has a positive relationship with Brooks, and the Rockets forward was seen wearing Morant's signature shoe while working out with his new Rockets teammates:

This was really cool to see, because while Brooks and Morant are no longer teammates, the two will still support each other from afar. Both players have only played for the Memphis Grizzlies in their careers, and were integral to that organization regaining some positive trajectory.

There was a lot of publicity around Brooks and the Grizzlies parting ways, and how Memphis was uninterested in bringing him back, but there were no reports about Grizzlies players being unhappy with Brooks. While some players expressed an overall need for improved focus and maturity next season, nobody indicated any real frustration with Brooks specifically, and it has become even more clear that his teammates didn't have an issue with him.

The Rockets and Grizzlies will likely play each other four times next season, which will be an opportunity for Brooks to line up against his former teammates. Outside of those matchups, it's likely the All-Defensive forward will be pulling for his former team to have success.
