In this story:

The Utah Jazz are in the home stretch of their 2025-26 regular season, facing the Houston Rockets in the first of their final five games of the year.

And in their matchup against the Rockets, they'll be bound to face a few injuries to deplete their rotation, similar to what they've dealt with across the past several weeks.

Here's a look at what to expect on the Jazz's injury front for their Friday night matchup vs. the Rockets:

Utah Jazz Injury Report

OUT - Elijah Harkless (hamstring)

OUT - Isaiah Collier (hamstring)

OUT - Keyonte George (hamstring)

OUT - Blake Hinson (two-way)

OUT - Jaren Jackson Jr. (knee)

OUT - Walker Kessler (shoulder)

OUT - Lauri Markkanen (hip)

OUT - Jusuf Nurkic (nose)

In all, it's eight total names listed out of the mix for the Jazz, seven of which are due to injury. The only non-injury absence for Utah will be Blake Hinson, who's currently assigned to the G League as a part of his two-way contract.

Outside of Hinson, it's largely the same as what the Jazz have been dealing with following the All-Star break. Keyonte George and Lauri Markkanen continue to be out with their respective long-term injuries, as do their other frontcourt pieces, who are out with their own season-ending injuries as well.

Isaiah Collier remains out with a sore hamstring that's lingered for the past couple of weeks, and could be creeping up to the point where he might miss the remainder of the regular season.

The Jazz will also be without Elijah Harkless for a second straight game, as he also deals with a hamstring injury, which will take out yet another piece of their backcourt alongside George and Collier.

Without both their typical starting and backup option at point guard to see some extended run for 10-day signee Kennedy Chandler, who's gotten a significant share of the minutes in the backcourt since being inked to his first 10-day contract earlier in March.

In the seven games Chandler has played, the 2022 second-round pick has averaged 14.4 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 6.7 assists while shooting 41.9% from the field. He's already started once for Utah in his short tenure on the roster, and could get another opportunity here in Houston.

The Jazz will also be likely to start Ace Bailey, Brice Sensabaugh, Cody Williams, and Kyle Filipowski alongside Chandler, or fill in Oscar Tshiebwe in place of Chandler as they did in their latest game vs. the Denver Nuggets in an effort to add more size.

Houston Rockets Injury Report

OUT - Steven Adams (ankle)

OUT - Fred VanVleet (knee)

The Rockets are set up to be relatively healthy headed into their final matchup against the Jazz, only being without the pairing of Steven Adams and Fred VanVleet, both of whom have been ruled out for the entire 2025-26 season with their respective injuries.

Tip-off between the Jazz and Rockets begins at 6:00 p.m. on the road in the Toyota Center, where Houston will have an opportunity to extend Utah's losing streak to eight games, but also help steer their lottery odds in the right direction in the process.
