Joel Embiid on Injury Report for Matchup vs. Detroit Pistons

In this story:
On Tuesday night, the Detroit Pistons will wrap up their four-game road trip. After taking on the Brooklyn Nets on Saturday, they head to Philadelphia to take on the 76ers.
The Sixers have been one of the hotter teams in the league as of late, winning their last five matchups. However, they could be shorthanded when they take on the Pistons on Tuesday. Per the latest injury report, Joel Embiid is listed as questionable due to injury recovery.
Embiid was sidelined for two months following a knee injury he suffered against the Golden State Warriors in January. However, the reigning MVP made his long-awaited return last week against the OKC Thunder.
With him being listed as questionable, there is no telling if Embiid will suit up against the Pistons. He’ll likely go through his warm-up routine pregame, and then a final decision will be made from there.
Embiid has played in all three matchups the Sixers had with the Pistons so far this year. Against Detroit, the All-Star center is averaging 36.3 PPG and 13.3 RPG on 48/40/91 shooting splits. His best overall outing came on December 13th, when he posted 41 points, 11 rebounds, and five assists in a blowout win for the Sixers.
As for the Pistons, they too have a key player questionable heading into Tuesday’s matchup. After missing the Pistons’ last three games, guard Cade Cunningham remains on the injury report. The team has stated they have no plans on shutting down the former No. 1 pick with just four games remaining on the schedule.
For those looking to tune into this matchup, tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
