Social Media Reacts to Warriors Beating Rockets in Game 3

In this story:
On Saturday evening, the Rockets and Warriors faced off in a crucial Game 3 sans Golden State star Jimmy Butler, who was ruled out after suffering an injury in Game 2.
Despite the loss of Butler, the Warriors and Steph Curry were still able to coast to a single-digit win, largely being led by their sharpshooting superstar and a few other ancillary pieces. Curry scored a game-high 34 points including five paramount triples in the 104-93 win. Buddy Hield added 17 points off the bench, and Gary Payton II added 16.
Much like Game 1, the Rockets again struggled to create offense, this time unable to rely on a 38-point performance from Jalen Green. Fred VanVleet was the team's leading scorer with just 17 points on 14 shots. Green scored just nine on 11 shots.

Unbelievably stupid that the Rockets had to burn a challenge to overturn this call. https://t.co/LWTBJobofH

Curry just got tackled on that 3. no call.

How are the Warriors only down 3.

I’m not sure I’ve ever seen an offense more dependent on one player than these Warriors are on Steph without Jimmy.

It feels absolutely massive whenever anybody else hits a shot. So shoutout Buddy for contributing a few in that half.

1. Missed free throws. Missed layups. Turnovers. The Rockets can’t stop shooting themselves in the foot
— Roosh (@RooshWilliams) April 27, 2025
2. Amen Thompson has not been able to guard Steph in this series. But Fred Vanvleet has. Gotta stay with Fred
3. Need to stick to the Jalen-Sengun 2-man game on offense

Was too passive in the first half, has found himself in trouble going too deep in the second.
If he can find the right blend, the playmaking and floater-range shotmaking will pop bc the space is, and will be, there.
The numbers won't end up amazing, but this has been a great playoff Steph performance. Warriors have absolutely nothing else offensively tonight and this is a great Rockets defense.

Steph was incredible, both defenses were great but the Rockets being utterly inept on offense hung them. Sengun missing gimmes, Jalen and Amen were non-factors.

I cannot believe Steph and Draymond are still doing this on their respective sides of the ball in 2025.
— Carson Breber (@Carsobi) April 27, 2025
These are one-of-a-kind performances from both dudes.

Rockets badly need Reed Sheppard to pan out in the future. Fred VanVleet does a lot of nice things but is so mid as a shooter. Not to mention how streaky Jalen Green is at everything. A developed Reed would solve many of Houston’s issues. Maybe the rookie version could even help.

The Rockets and Warriors will play a crucial Game 4 at 9 p.m. CT on Monday, April 28.
