How Suns Can Officially Clinch Playoff Spot

The Phoenix Suns can clinch a top-six playoff spot tonight. Here's how.

The Phoenix Suns have endured a long season full of drama, injuries and even waving goodbye to some homegrown talent in a blockbuster trade.

Yet here we are: Four games are left in the regular season and the Suns appear to be all but locked into their No. 4 seed as the Denver Nuggets, Memphis Grizzlies and Sacramento Kings have clinched playoff spots.

Over the weekend, the Suns confirmed they're at least in the play-in tournament before their win over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday.

Now, they have the opportunity tonight to clinch an official playoff spot with a win against the San Antonio Spurs. They can also do so with a Golden State Warriors loss to Oklahoma City.

DENVER clinches the best record in the West with a win OR a Memphis loss.

PHOENIX clinches a playoff spot with a win OR a Golden State loss.

SACRAMENTO clinches the Pacific Division title with a win OR a Phoenix loss.

UTAH is eliminated with a loss, a Oklahoma City win AND a Minnesota win.

With Kevin Durant healthy and in the lineup, the Suns are 6-0 and are currently on a five-game winning streak. A win tonight over San Antonio - one of the worst teams in the league - will tie their longest string of wins this season.

Phoenix tips off against San Antonio at 7:00 PST. After tonight, they face the Nuggets, Lakers and Clippers to end the regular season.
