Suns Extend Winning Streak, Easily Handle Spurs

The Phoenix Suns extended their winning streak to six games after defeating the San Antonio Spurs.

PHOENIX -- The Phoenix Suns cruised to a nice 115-94 victory over the San Antonio Spurs

The Suns have now won their sixth consecutive game, tying their longest winning streak of the regular season. They improve to 44-35 on the season with just three games remaining and have officially clinched a spot in the playoffs with the victory.

The Suns also finished the season series with a 3-0 record against the Spurs.

The game started off with a bang for Phoenix, as the Suns scored a season-high 42 points in first quarter. They led by as much as 31 in the contest while San Antonio trailed the entire way.

Yet it wasn't all smooth sailing to begin the second half, as the Spurs cut the lead to under ten with 6:42 left in the third. However, Phoenix would quickly regain their footing and push themselves out of reach the rest of the way.

Devin Booker led the Suns in scoring with 27 points and seven rebounds. Chris Paul (22), Deandre Ayton (19) and Kevin Durant (18) also made an impact.

In total, six players scored in double digits - which includes Bismack Biyombo with ten points and four blocks off the bench in 16 minutes of game time.
